Del Piero Close to Sydney FC


Former Juventus Legend Alessandro Del Piero finally made up his mind,Del Piero reported is closer to put his signature with Sydney FC. After a surprising decision from Juventus not to give a contract extention to him,Del Piero future is still unknown,the Italian was linked with several clubs across Europe. However it is Australian club Sydney FD that managed to get his service.
As reported by goal.com, Sydney FC CEO Tony Pignata confident that they can wrap up this transfer on Wednesday. Pignata also commented on rumour that they hijack Del Piero from Liverpool
"I am optimistic. He still hasn't signed, but he wants to. Between tonight and tomorrow we will settle the final details, it is a work in progress," Pignata told Sky Sport Italia. 
"Offers from England? Liverpool is a great club, but Australia is a big country."
Del Piero will sign a deal worth $2M per season which will be a record for the domestic game

Del Piero played for Juventus from 1993 -2012,played for 513 matches scored 208 goals. He was also one of the Juventus players who decided to stay when the club get Calciopolli case and demoted to Serie B.
