Del Piero's Debut ended with bad result, his team Sydney FC lost to the host team Phoenix Wellington 2-0 in the first match of A-League. Eventhough his condiiton not yet fit 100 %, Del Piero playing for the 90 minutes in the match.
Former Juventus legend was expected to bring Sydney FC to glory, it seems that Del Piero need to work a little bit harder after this match.
Del Piero positioned as a striker in the match against Phoenix Wellington, however during the match he was seldom get the ball. Given the condition make Del Piero more down to the middle to help the team to control the ball. We can see his skills in this game couple times his dribbling skills has make a difficulty to the defender. Del Piero managed to get goal chance in 13' and 76' minute.
Del Piero also not satisfied with the result, but he believe if his condition was fit 100 % he can contribute better and his team Sydney FC still can be better that this. Well, we wish all the best for you Alex.
