Italy Denmark World Cup Qualifier

Italy will host Denmark at San Siro on Tuesday 16 October in World Cup 2014 Qualifier match. This will going to be the real test for Prandelli's squad, eventhough italy still not defeated in three previous game and sit in the top position of group B, many side critize Italy's performance. On their previous games against Bulgaria, Malta and Armenia, Italy seems to overwhelmed by those team especially against Bulgaria and Armenia. However with their experience they securing seven points from three matches.

Facing Denmark it a test for Italy because Denmark is seen as stronger team than all previous Italy's opponent, if they are win Prandelli squad can silence media criticism towards them, but if otherwise it is a serious home work for Prandelli. 

The last match between two team was in Euro 2004, the game was ended with 0-0 draw. Italy and Denmark have meet for 11 times, Italy wins seven times while Denmark wins three times and 1 draw. Denmark collecting two points from their last two matches in Group B, draw against Bulgaria and Czech Rep.

Italian Captain Gigi Buffon is rumored to be absent in the match due to injury, Napoli's keeper Morgan De Sanctis will be his replacement. On the defence line Prandelli with keep the formation against Armenia, Criscito and Maggio at the Full Back, Juventus duo Barzagli and Bonucci will be in the center. Pirlo will be a key player for Italy as usual support by De Rossi and Marchisio while Montolivo, Osvaldo and Balotelli in the Offensive line.

It is a expected game by Nicklas Bendtner, the Arsenal striker who on loan to Juventus will be the sole striker in 4-5-1 Denmark formation. He certainly wants to prove to his team that he is deserve for the first squad.
