Serie A Legend - Zvonimir Boban

Croatian playmaker who plays for AC Milan for 9 seasons known for his dribbling skills and set the rhythm of the game. He helped Milan win the Champions League title in 1994 and was runner-up the following year. Together with Milan also he has won four Serie A championship title. In 2001 after his role in Milan replaced by Rui Costa, he played for Celta Vigo on loan for 1 year and decided to retire as a player in 2002.



His professional career started with the club Dinamo Zagreb. He played a major role in the Yugoslavia team won the Junior World Cup in 1987. Although in the end he became a player for the Croatian national team following a split in the State Federation of Yugoslavia.

Boban plays a very important role for the Croatian national team that won third place in the World Cup 1998 in France. In the competition and also the European Cup in 1996, he became captain Croatia. Together with the national team he has played as many as 51 times in the period 1990 to 1999 with a total of goals he set as many as 12.
